Glossy lamination adds vibrant color and shine, while matte lamination offers a smooth, elegant look with reduced glare and improved scratch resistance.
For standard interior workbook pages, we typically use 100–120 gsm (68-81 lb) uncoated paper. This paper is specifically chosen to ensure a comfortable writing experience. Its natural texture allows ink to absorb properly, preventing smudging or bleeding, and works well with pens, pencils, markers, and highlighters. It is ideal for workbooks designed for note-taking, exercises, and repeated writing.
For dry-erase workbooks, we recommend using 200–300 gsm (10–14 pt) coated cover paper for the interior pages, combined with double-sided glossy lamination or erasable UV coating. This construction creates a smooth, non-porous surface that mimics a dry-erase board. Both sides of the page can be written on using dry-erase markers, making each page fully reusable. Simply wipe clean after use, making this option perfect for training manuals, educational materials, and interactive learning tools.
Spiral binding or Wire-O binding is the most practical choice for dry-erase workbooks. These bindings allow pages to open completely flat or fold back 360 degrees, ensuring ease of use while writing. They also improve durability and make page turning smooth and effortless.
For watercolor workbooks, we recommend cotton paper, which is designed to handle wet media. Cotton paper offers excellent absorbency, strong fiber structure, and resistance to warping or buckling.
