For covers, we typically recommend heavier paper between 250–350 gsm. A 250 gsm cover is a more economical option for shorter booklets, while thicker stock is preferred for higher page counts to provide added strength and a more premium feel.

For interior pages of standard 8.5″ × 11″ booklets, 157–200 gsm works well for lower page counts or when extra durability is required. For booklets with higher page counts, lighter 80–128 gsm paper is more suitable. If the booklet has fewer than 32 pages, 200 gsm interior paper is often recommended for a sturdier, high-quality finish.

Yes! You can order a physical sample before placing an order to check our paper, binding, finish and printing quality.

We recommend high resolution PDF files with embedded fonts and images, including a 3 mm bleed. If your files are created in InDesign or Illustrator, please export them as print-ready PDFs.

You need to provide two separate files: a cover spread file and a single pages file. The cover file should be submitted in printer’s spread, including the front cover, back cover, and spine (if have spine). The interior page file should be submitted as single pages, arranged in reading order from beginning to end. This setup ensures precise alignment and printing during production.

For small files, you can upload them directly through our online inquiry form or send them via email to sales@bookprintingchina.com. For large files, please share a download link using platforms such as WeTransfer, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

No, we don’t provide in house design services, but our prepress team offers free file checking, include bleed, image resolution, layout and other technical details to ensure your files are print-ready. We can also provide templates, spine width calculation, basic layout guidance if needed.

Yes, we offer several proofing options, including PDF proof, physical sample, dummy sample, digital printed sample, and offset printed sample.

After you complete the deposit and before mass production, we usually provide a free digital printed sample for your confirmation.

Booklet production typically takes 7-12 days after the final files are approved. The exact timeline depends on factors such as order quantity, binding style, design complexity, and our current production schedule. Shipping time will vary based on your destination and selected shipping method.
